About the event
Are you looking for new and innovative ways to spark authentic excitement in your K-5 classroom? Register now to find or rediscover your “why” and your vision for your students. Participants will be provided with some basics for Project Based Learning for young learners, ways to use STEM and STEAM challenges that align with learning targets and most importantly, an opportunity to join a cohort of teachers that are committed to making learning engaging, real and most of all…FUN. Courtenay Hayes discovered her “why” when she first watched students deeply engaged in learning through choice and exploration. Courtenay has been teaching young learners for more than 25 years and continues to find that year after year, her students rarely disappoint when they are given these opportunities to “show what they know” through choice and exploration. Participants will leave this workshop with activities, resources that are ready to use, coaching support and connection opportunities to share ideas and grow together as passionate professionals who care deeply about teaching and learning.
The Castle is proud to offer this opportunity for the low cost of $50! We are proud to launch our first professional development sessions with WCESC and are celebrating the beginning of our offerings with this low cost!
This training counts towards the state requirement for all educators to have PBL training prior to 2025 and participants can opt to continue to work with Courtenay and the Castle team as they implement the ideas they learn.
